In addition to our SEND Coffee mornings, we also run Family Workshops to share with our School Community which cover a range of aspects from our Vision and Values to Curriculum subjects. Family Welcome Meetings
Here is all of the information our year groups shared at their family welcome meetings.
English Workshop
Our workshop was aimed at sharing our innovative approach to teaching and learning in English at SWFS, focussed on our book based approach. We explored what a lesson might look like and identifying the difference between text type and text form.
Maths Workshop
This workshop was a whistle stop tour of maths throughout school. It covers what the Mastery approach is and why we have chosen to implement this at SWFS. It then goes onto what maths is covered in school and what a lesson might look like and finally there is examples of how we deliver written calculations.
Early Maths
We shared this with our Nursery families to show how we weave maths implicitly and explicitly into the curriculum right from the start. It provides a great overview of how early maths is taught.
Vision, Values and Zones of Regulation Workshop
Our workshop was focused on sharing our approach to the Wellfield Way, the behaviour policy, our Vision and Values and Zones of Regulation.
Sleep Workshop
