STEAM Week
This year we celebrated our very first STEAM week, during this week our learning focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Maths. We have chosen to include the Arts as well as the traditional STEM subjects as we want to raise the profile of the Arts across school and World Book Day lies perfectly within this week providing a great outlet for creativity.
The thread running through our STEAM week has been ‘How do we make South Wellfield Shine Brightly?’ We chose this theme as we are looking to develop our outside areas and Forest School Each year group had their own scientific question to answer related to how to make ourselves or our school environment Shine Brightly. They also had their own design challenge as well as World Book day Activities and a Maths morning.
